About Saintly Edge

Saintly Edge was started...literally, by accident!

Originally born and raised in Utah, Saintly Edge owner, Kelli McDonald, was a horse trainer and riding instructor for 13 years until she met her husband, Hugh McDonald, and moved to New Jersey. She was just starting to build up her business as a horse trainer in New Jersey when she was involved in a debilitating car accident. Unable to ride anymore due to back and neck injuries, she was at a loss. The couple decided to leave New Jersey and move back to Utah.

Overcome by boredom, Kelli began designing and making jewelry as a hobby. One of her first pieces was inspired by sorting through her jewelry box and noticing the necklaces that her children had given her through the years. Unable to wear them all at once, Kelli came up with the idea to add the charms from her necklaces to beaded bracelets. She's created beautiful pieces with semi-precious stones, vintage glass beads, bone beads, Swarovski crystals, and religious and spiritual medals.

Being married to the bass player of Bon Jovi, presented her with the opportunity to wear her own designs to concerts and special events. Much to her surprise, friends (and strangers alike) approached her and asked where she bought her jewelry. With encouragement from her friends and family, she turned her hobby into a business.
